Today I was feeling pretty rough and couldn’t stomach a 50k+ ride on the bike, so I decided to just work on the fermentation controller a little. The previous time it was wired up the person doing the work misunderstood how the neutral needed to be wired – so with the help of a sparky mate we fixed that up today.
It was pretty simple, a couple more cable ties and mounts, some extra wire and it was done. Rather than looping through the ‘loop’ point on each point we just wired back to a distribution block like the earth and the live wires.
Disclaimer: Do not perform any of your own 240v wiring at home! Always use an RCD on any custom work, regardless of who performs the work.
